and this chain of narration consists of trustworthy men, the men of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], except for Miqsam, who is from the men of al-Bukhārī, but he did not hear from Umm Salamah, as he and other imams have stated. However, her ḥadīth is authenticated from ʿĀʾishah through another route from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from his father from her, which is more complete, but it does not include: "or seven." Similarly, Muslim narrated it (2/166) in an abridged form. See "Ṣalāt al-Tarāwīḥ" (p. 104). (Note): The editor of "al-Iḥsān," published by al-Risālah (6/193), commented on his statement in the isnād of the ḥadīth: "Saʿīd" by saying: "This is how it appears in the original, but I could not identify it, and I am inclined to think it is a distortion of 'Shuʿbah.'" I did not find the ḥadīth with this chain in any source other than the author." I said: We have provided it for you—and all praise is due to Allāh alone—and with it, the correctness of the assumption mentioned is confirmed for me. And Allāh is the bestower of success.
Similarly, it was narrated by Ibn Ḥibbān (4/69/2422), among others, and it is also extracted in
