" that the ḥadīth was narrated by Mālik from Abū Bakr ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr ibn Ḥazm... " etc. it can only be understood that he meant the ḥadīth he mentioned a few lines earlier in the biography of its narrator, al-Naḍr, which is the ḥadīth about sitting on the grave as previously indicated. Mālik did not narrate this at all; rather, he narrated with his isnād, which the ḥāfiẓ mentioned, from Abū al-Naḍr al-Sulamī, a different elevated ḥadīth with the wording: "No Muslim loses three children..." the ḥadīth. See "al-Muwaṭṭaʾ" at the end of "Funerals" (1/235), and it is in "Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim" and others from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah and similar, and it was previously mentioned under number (2302). A final note: In the index of "al-Musnad" by our esteemed brother Ḥamdī al-Salafī (3/336), it states: "... - Do not sit on the graves. From Abū Marthad (4/135 twice)." I say: the ḥadīth in the indicated place is with the wording: "Do not sit," and it is not mentioned in the printed "al-Musnad" with the wording he mentioned, as previously noted. Then he said in the commentary: "... and see the commentary on the ḥadīth: Do not harm the occupant of the grave." I sought it in its place, and it turned out to be a commentary on a different ḥadīth! It points out an error by attributing it to Musnad Aḥmad and denies its presence there!! just as I mentioned in "al-Mishkāt," and the truth has been revealed, and all praise is due to Allāh, by whose grace good deeds are completed.
