one example, which is what I am currently addressing, is that the ḥadīth in this edition, which is adorned with his supervision as usual, states: "There is nothing concerning the animals"! Yes, thus the word (al-hām) in the ḥadīth was distorted to (al-bahāʾim)! This is not a typographical error that can be excused, as some ignorant people claimed, because the printer repeated it with all its flaws in his commentary on his new edition as well—without my permission—of my book "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ" (2/1248) regarding this ḥadīth, he said: "Its beginning: There is nothing concerning the animals".. If this indicates anything, it indicates—as is said today—that the man speaks without knowledge and faithfully transmits the error he initially made! And Allāh is the one whose help is sought.

"Peace be upon you, O boys!" It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (8/633/5826) and Aḥmad (3/183). They said: Wakīʿ narrated to us from Ḥabīb ibn Ḥujr al-ʿAbasī from Thābit from Anas who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed by us while we were boys, and he said: and he mentioned it. It was also recorded by Ibn al-Sunnī in "ʿAmal al-Yawm wa-al-Laylah" (77/223) and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (8/378) through two other chains from Wakīʿ with it. I say: This isnād is authentic, its narrators are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs except for this Ḥabīb, who was narrated from by a number of other trustworthy narrators besides Wakīʿ, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in two places in "Followers of the Followers" from "al-Thiqāt".
