the ḥāfiẓ, as he attributed it in "al-Fatḥ" (5/111) to Isḥāq in "his Musnad", and al-Bayhaqī, and he remained silent about it. For "Musnad Isḥāq", which has recently been printed in some volumes, is not from the narration of this al-Sulamī. And Allāh knows best.

"O Fāṭimah! Are you not pleased to be the leader of the women of the believers, or the leader of the women of this nation?" It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (6286), Muslim (7/142-144), al-Nasāʾī in "al-Kubrā" (5/96), Ibn Mājah (1621), al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (48-49), Ibn Saʿd (8/26-27), and Aḥmad (6/282) through various chains from Firās, from ʿĀmir, from Masrūq: ʿĀʾishah, the Mother of the Believers, said: We, the wives of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), were all with him, and not one of us was absent. Fāṭimah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā) came walking, and by Allāh, her gait was not hidden from the gait of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). When he saw her, he welcomed her and said, "Welcome, my daughter." Then he seated her on his right or on his left, then he whispered to her, and she wept profusely. When he saw her sadness, he whispered to her a second time, and she laughed. I said to her - I being among his wives -: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) singled you out with a secret among us, and yet you are crying! When the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) stood up, I asked her: What did he whisper to you about? She said: I would not disclose the secret of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). When he passed away, I said to her: I implore you - by the right I have over you - to inform me. She said: Now, yes, she informed me, saying: As for when he whispered to me the first time, it was that..
