and there is another supporting narration from Ibn ʿAbbās regarding what the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) used to say when he stood for prayer in the middle of the night. It is mentioned at the end, but it does not include: "and You are more knowledgeable about it than I am." except in a narration by al-Bukhārī, number (7442), and likewise by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (10 / 259 - 260).

"Do not fast on Friday except if it is among the days you usually fast. As for not speaking to anyone, by my life, speaking with good and forbidding evil is better than remaining silent." It was recorded by Aḥmad (5 / 224 - 225), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (2 / 31 / 1232), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (10 / 75 - 76) through various chains from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Iyāḍ ibn Laqīṭ who said: I heard Laylā, the wife of Bashīr, say: Bashīr informed me that he asked the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), "Should I fast on Friday and not speak to anyone that day?" He said: and he mentioned it. From this chain, it was also recorded by al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (6 / 92 / 7578) and Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (3 / 382). I say: This isnād is authentic, and its narrators are trustworthy, and this Laylā is a Companion according to the most likely opinion. Bashīr is Ibn al-Khaṣāṣiyyah, and Imām Aḥmad mentioned him in his Musnad. Then he and al-Ṭabarānī (1230), as well as al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab" (830), narrated with the same chain from him, saying: "He had come to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), who said his name was 'Zahm,' and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) named him 'Bashīr.'"
