There is a second issue in the chain, which is that Abū al-Yamān - whose name is al-Ḥakam ibn Nāfiʿ al-Bahrānī - is one of the author's teachers here, and in "the Ṣaḥīḥ", he narrated directly from them here about fifteen ḥadīths, and they did not mention that he narrates from him indirectly, especially for this unknown Abū Numayr. There is a third issue, which is Abū al-Yamān's explicit narration from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid, as this is very unlikely considering the dates of birth and death. They mentioned in the biography of Abū al-Yamān that he was born in the year (138), and in the biography of Ismāʿīl that he died in the year (146), meaning Abū al-Yamān would have been 8 years old at the time of Ismāʿīl's death, and thus they did not mention him
