I said: He is reliable, from the men of Muslim, as well as those above him, despite the weakness in Ḥassān due to his memory, and al-Ḥulwānī is among the trustworthy shaykhs of al-Ṭabarānī, with a biography in "Tārīkh Baghdād," so the isnād is good.

- "He would sleep while prostrating, and his sleep was only known by his snoring, then he would rise and continue his prayer." It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (1/133) and through his route by al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (1/338): Isḥāq ibn Manṣūr narrated to us from Manṣūr ibn Abī al-Aswad from al-Aʿmash from Ibrāhīm from ʿAlqamah from ʿAbd Allāh who said: then he mentioned it as marfūʿ. And it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (9995) through another route from Ibn Abī al-Aswad. I said: This isnād is authentic, its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs except for Manṣūr ibn Abī al-Aswad, and he is reliable despite his inclination towards Shīʿism. Some have narrated it as mursal, as Ibn Abī Shaybah said: Hushaym narrated to us from Mughīrah from Ibrāhīm: that the Prophet ﷺ slept in the mosque until he snored, then he got up and prayed without performing ablution, the Prophet ﷺ's eyes would sleep but his heart would not. Then Ibn Abī Shaybah, and Aḥmad also (6/135) said: Wakīʿ narrated to us from al-Aʿmash from Ibrāhīm from al-Aswad from ʿĀʾishah who said: "The Prophet ﷺ would sleep until he snored, then he would get up and pray without performing ablution." And this isnād is authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs
