- "Whoever spends two kinds [of things] in the way of Allāh will be called in Paradise: 'O servant of Allāh! This is good.' Whoever is among the people of prayer will be called from the gate of prayer, and whoever is among the people of jihad will be called from the gate of jihad, and whoever is among the people of charity will be called from the gate of charity, and whoever is among the people of fasting will be called from the gate of al-Rayyan. Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq said: 'O Messenger of Allāh! It is not necessary for anyone to be called from those gates, but will anyone be called from all those gates?' He said: 'Yes, and I hope that you will be among them.' It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (1897, 2841, 3216, 3666), Muslim (3/91), al-Tirmidhī (3675) who authenticated it, al-Nasāʾī (1/312, 332-333, 2/58), Ibn Ḥibbān (1/263/308), and Mālik in "al-Muwaṭṭaʾ" (2/24-25) through the route of Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said it: and he mentioned it. It was also recorded by Muslim through the route of Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, and by Aḥmad (2/366) through the route of Abū Ṣāliḥ, both from Abū Hurayrah in a shortened form with the wording: 'Whoever spends two kinds [of things] in the way of Allāh, the keepers of Paradise will call him from every gate: O so-and-so! Come.' Abū Bakr said: 'O Messenger of Allāh! That is something which cannot be surpassed.' Abū Salamah added: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: 'I hope that you will be among them.' There is a brief supporting narration from Abū Dharr, raised [to the Prophet] with the first part of it, without the saying: 'O servant of Allāh...' etc
