al-Ṣanʿānī al-Muṣṣīṣī, who is truthful but makes many mistakes as mentioned in "Taqrīb," and perhaps al-Bazzār narrated it through a different route, otherwise how could Ibn al-Qaṭṭān authenticate it if it was through his route? (1). Moreover, he was not the only one to narrate it even though there was disagreement in its isnād. Imām Aḥmad (6/377) said: Abū al-Mughīrah (what is between the brackets is missing from the Musnad) narrated to us, saying: al-Awzāʿī narrated to us, saying: Isḥāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah al-Anṣārī narrated to me from his grandmother Umm Sulaym, who said: Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), was her neighbor, and she used to visit her. The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) entered, and Umm Sulaym said: O Messenger of Allāh! What do you think if a woman sees in her dream that her husband is intimate with her, should she perform ghusl? Umm Salamah said: May your hands be dusty, O Umm Sulaym, you have embarrassed women before the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). Umm Sulaym said: Allāh is not shy of the truth, and asking the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) about what is unclear to us is better than being ignorant about it. The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to Umm Salamah: "Rather, may your hands be dusty, yes, O Umm Sulaym, she must perform ghusl if she sees the fluid." Umm Salamah said: O Messenger of Allāh! Does a woman have fluid? The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Then how does her child resemble her? They are the counterparts of men." This isnād consists of narrators all of whom are trustworthy narrators of the six, but al-Haythamī criticized it for being disconnected, saying (1/268): "Isḥāq did not hear from Umm Sulaym." However, the first narration indicates that Isḥāq received it from Anas, who received it from his mother Umm Sulaym. Similarly, Muslim (1/171) and others narrated it from ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār, who said: Isḥāq ibn Ṭalḥah said: Anas ibn Mālik narrated to me, saying: Umm Sulaym came... the ḥadīth without
الصنعاني المصيصي، وهو صدوق كثير الغلط كما في " التقريب "، ولعل البزار رواه من غير طريقه، وإلا فكيف يصححه ابن القطان إذا كان من طريقه؟ (١). على أنه لم يتفرد به وإن كان خولف في سنده، فقال الإمام أحمد (٦ / ٣٧٧) : حدثنا [أبو] المغيرة (ما بين المربعين ساقط من المسند) قال: حدثنا الأوزاعي قال: حدثني إسحاق بن عبد الله بن أبي طلحة الأنصاري عن جدته أم سليم قالت: كانت مجاورة أم سلمة زوج النبي ﷺ، فكانت تدخل عليها، فدخل النبي ﷺ فقالت أم سليم: يا رسول الله! أرأيت إذا رأت المرأة أن زوجها يجامعها في المنام، أتغتسل؟ فقالت أم سلمة: تربت يداك يا أم سليم، فضحت النساء عند رسول الله ﷺ. فقالت أم سليم: إن الله لا يستحي من الحق، وإنا أن نسأل النبي ﷺ عما أشكل علينا خير من أن نكون منه على عمياء. فقال النبي ﷺ لأم سلمة: " بل أنت تربت يداك، نعم يا أم سليم عليها الغسل إذا وجدت الماء ". فقالت أم سلمة: يا رسول الله! وهل للمرأة ماء؟ فقال النبي ﷺ: " فأني يشبهها ولدها؟ هن شقائق الرجال ". وهذا سند رجاله كلهم ثقات رجال الستة، لكن أعله الهيثمي بالانقطاع، فقال (١ / ٢٦٨) : " وإسحاق لم يسمع من أم سليم ". لكن دلت الرواية الأولى على أن إسحاق أخذها عن أنس، وهو عن أمه أم سليم، وكذلك رواه مسلم (١ / ١٧١) وغيره عن عكرمة بن عمار قال: قال إسحاق بن طلحة: حدثني أنس بن مالك قال: جاءت أم سليم ... الحديث دون
