and it has a supporting narration reported by Abū Yaḥyá from Mujāhid from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, "Indeed, Allāh has angels who roam the earth conveying to me from my nation: so-and-so sends you greetings and prays for you, so-and-so prays for you and sends you greetings." It was recorded by Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (3/238) in the biography of this Abū Yaḥyá, who is al-Qattāt, and he concluded his biography by saying, "In his ḥadīth there is some of what is in it, but his ḥadīth is written." This indicates that he is suitable for being used as supporting evidence. Similarly, al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "His ḥadīth is weak."

- "The example of one who does bad deeds and then does good deeds is like a man who had a tight coat of mail that was choking him, then he did a good deed and a link was loosened, then he did another good deed and another link was loosened until he comes out to the ground." It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (4/145) through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak, who said: Ibn Lahīʿah informed us, saying: Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb told me, saying: Abū al-Khayr told us that he heard ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... I say: This isnād [chain of transmission] consists of trustworthy men, except that Ibn Lahīʿah had poor memory, but it is from the narration of Ibn al-Mubārak from him, which is authentic as mentioned repeatedly
