and al-Ṭayālisī (p. 76, no. 556) and Aḥmad (3/456 and 5/125) from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Aswad ibn ʿAbd Yaghūth from Ubayy ibn Kaʿb, attributed [to the Prophet]. It has another chain with al-Ṭayālisī, no. (557): Shuʿbah narrated to us from al-Ḥakam from Mujāhid from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā from Ubayy, attributed [to the Prophet]. This is a sound chain according to the criteria of the six [canonical ḥadīth collections]. It has a corroborating report from Ibn Masʿūd with this wording. It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (2/138) who said: "It is rare." I said: Its chain is good. Then he said: "It was narrated from another route from Ibn Masʿūd, attributed [to the Prophet]." It has a second, stronger corroborating report, narrated by Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah from al-Zuhrī from ʿUrwah from ʿĀʾishah, attributed [to the Prophet]. It was produced by al-Bazzār (3/3/2301 - Kashf al-Astār): Nahshal ibn Kathīr al-Bāhilī narrated to us, Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it. I said: This is a sound chain, its men are trustworthy, men of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], except for this (Nahshal), who was deemed reliable by Ibn Ḥibbān as will be mentioned, and he included him in "al-Thiqāt" saying: Muḥammad ibn al-Musayyib narrated to us: Nahshal ibn Kathīr narrated it, he mentioned it in the biography of this (Nahshal), and said: (9/221): "A Shaykh. Ibn Khuzaymah narrated from him, I did not find anything objectionable in his narration except for one ḥadīth..." then he proceeded with this ḥadīth. He followed it with the statement:
