al-Ḥusayn ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad al-Ghaḍāʾirī narrated to us: Abū Jaʿfar Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr al-Razzāz narrated to us: Aḥmad ibn Malāʿib ibn Ḥayyān. All three of these are trustworthy: 1 - al-Ghaḍāʾirī, as al-Khaṭīb said (8/34): "We wrote from him, and he was a trustworthy and virtuous person." Al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Dhahabī translated him in "al-Siyar" (17/327) and described him as "the righteous and trustworthy imām." 2 - Abū Jaʿfar Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr al-Razzāz, he has a good biography in "Tārīkh al-Khaṭīb" (3/132) with narrations from a group of ḥadīth scholars about him, and he said: "He was a reliable and firm narrator, and people wrote from him by the selection of ʿUmar al-Baṣrī." Al-Dhahabī described him in the biography of (al-Ardabīlī) as "the Musnad of Baghdad." 3 - As for Aḥmad ibn Malāʿib ibn Ḥayyān, he is among the well-known ḥadīth scholars. Al-Khaṭīb translated him (5/168-170) with a comprehensive biography, in which he narrated his authentication by a group of ḥadīth scholars, including ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad and al-Dāraqutnī, and al-Dhahabī described him in "Tadhkirat al-Ḥuffāẓ" and elsewhere as "the trustworthy ḥāfiẓ." In summary, this isnād can be used as supporting evidence at the very least, as it corroborates what precedes it. What agrees with it is accepted, and what contradicts it and is unique to it, such as saying "the fox" instead of "the monkey," is left aside. And Allāh knows best. The ḥadīth was mentioned by al-Mundhirī in "al-Targhīb" (3/23) and he said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr,' and it was also narrated by al-Bayhaqī. I do not know of any disparaged narrators in its chain, and it was narrated from al-Ḥasan in a mursal form."
الحسين بن الحسن بن محمد الغضائري حدثنا أبو جعفر محمد بن عمرو الرزاز حدثنا أحمد بن ملاعب بن حيان، فهؤلاء الثلاثة كلهم ثقات: ١ - الغضائري، قال الخطيب (٨ / ٣٤): " كتبنا عنه، وكان ثقة فاضلا ". وترجمه الحافظ الذهبي في " السير " (١٧ / ٣٢٧) ووصفه بـ " الإمام الصالح الثقة ". ٢ - أبو جعفر محمد بن عمرو الرزاز، له ترجمة جيدة في " تاريخ الخطيب " (٣ / ١٣٢) برواية جمع من الحفاظ عنه، وقال: " كان ثقة ثبتا، كتب الناس عنه بانتخاب عمر البصري ". ووصفه الذهبي في ترجمة (الأردبيلي) بـ " مسند بغداد ". ٣ - وأما أحمد بن ملاعب بن حيان، فهو من الحفاظ المعروفين، ترجمه الخطيب (٥ / ١٦٨ - ١٧٠) ترجمة ضافية، روى فيها توثيقه عن جمع من الحفاظ منهم عبد الله ابن أحمد والدارقطني، ووصفه الذهبي في " تذكرة الحفاظ " وغيره بـ " الحافظ الثقة ". وجملة القول: أن هذا الإسناد يستشهد به على الأقل، فإنه مؤيد لما قبله، فيؤخذ منه ما وافقه، ويترك ما خالفه وتفرد به كقوله: " الثعلب " مكان " القرد " والله أعلم. والحديث أورده المنذري في " الترغيب " (٣ / ٢٣) وقال: " رواه الطبراني في " معجمه الكبير "، ورواه البيهقي أيضا، ولا أعلم في رواته مجروحا، وروي عن الحسن مرسلا ".
