"narrated by Aḥmad, and its narrators are those of the authentic [collections], except that it is somewhat mursal." I said: This is an error based on his incorrect transmission of part of the ḥadīth, which is his statement: "that Abū Saʿīd," and for this reason, he said: "it is somewhat mursal." Based on this, he mistakenly thought that Saʿīd ibn Abī Saʿīd is al-Maqburī and said: its narrators are those of the authentic [collections]! The root of the error is that he omitted from his pen the phrase: "from his father." And Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī is not Abū al-Maqburī, the trustworthy one, and some of the beginners who lack thorough investigation followed him in this. However, the ḥadīth has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mughaffal, the beginning of which is: "If you love me, then prepare for poverty a shield." I had included it in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" under number (1681), so it can be strengthened by this, and by the ḥadīth of Abū Dharr mentioned under the ḥadīth before it. And Allāh knows best.

- "The Quran will come on the Day of Resurrection like a pale man and will say to its companion: Do you recognize me? I am the one who kept you awake at night and made you thirsty during the hot days, and every merchant is behind his trade, and today I am behind every merchant for you. He will be given the kingdom in his right hand and eternity in his left, and a crown of dignity will be placed on his head, and his parents will be clothed in two garments that the world and all that is in it cannot match, and they will say: O Lord! How did we earn this? It will be said: By teaching your child the Quran. And the companion of the Quran will be told on the Day of Resurrection: Recite and ascend in ranks and recite as you used to recite in the world, for your position will be at the last verse you recite."
