"Whoever has a debt and intends to repay it, Allāh will be with him as an aid and will provide for him." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (2/181/1/7758): Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, my father narrated to us: Saʿd ibn al-Ṣalt narrated from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from his father from ʿĀʾishah that she heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. And he said: "No one narrated it from Hishām except Saʿd ibn al-Ṣalt, and no one narrated it from Saʿd except Shādhān." I said: He means Isḥāq ibn Ibrāhīm, who is known as "Shādhān al-Fārisī, the judge of Fārs," as mentioned in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" in the biography of Saʿd ibn al-Ṣalt, and similarly in the biography of Isḥāq himself, and he said (1/1/211): "He wrote to my father and to me, and he is truthful." He also provided a biography of his teacher Saʿd ibn al-Ṣalt through his narration from other trustworthy individuals besides Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, and from him Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Anṣārī, Yaḥyā al-Ḥammānī, and his grandson Isḥāq ibn Ibrāhīm known as Shādhān al-Fārisī, the judge of Fārs. No criticism or commendation was mentioned about him. Ibn Ḥibbān included him in "al-Thiqāt" (6/378) through the narration of Shādhān from him, and said: "He might narrate something unusual." Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (4/132-133) after attributing it to Aḥmad: "The isnād of al-Ṭabarānī is connected, except that it includes Saʿīd ibn al-Ṣalt from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, and I found only one who narrates from the Companions, so it is not him. And Allāh knows best." I said: It is actually Saʿd, and it seems to have appeared as "Saʿīd" in al-Haythamī's copy of al-Ṭabarānī
