I said: Among the transgressions of (al-Haddām) against the sunnah is his weakening of this ḥadīth, in his commentary on "Ighāthah al-Lahfān," and introducing its citation by saying (1/56): "Weak: and perhaps it is a statement of some of the predecessors"!! It is said to him: Place "perhaps" with that star, for most of its chains are elevated, and the first of them is good in itself, similar to the ḥadīth of Jābir, but the man is afflicted with scholarly anomalies!

- "Avoid wine, for it is the key to all evil." It was narrated by al-Ḥākim (4/145) and from him by al-Bayhaqī in "Shuʿab al-Īmān" (2/150/2) through the chain of Nuʿaym ibn Ḥammād: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad al-Darāwardī narrated to us from ʿAmr ibn Abī ʿAmr from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it, and said: "Its isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I said: Nuʿaym ibn Ḥammād, al-Dhahabī himself mentioned him in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ wa-al-Matrūkīn," and said: "Aḥmad and a group vouched for him, and al-Nasāʾī and others said: He is not trustworthy. Al-Azdī said: They said: He used to fabricate ḥadīth, and he said (D): He has about twenty ḥadīth with no basis, and al-Dāraqutnī said: He made many errors." As for al-Munāwī's statement that he is among the men of the Ṣaḥīḥ, it is a mistake, because al-Bukhārī only narrated from him in conjunction, and Muslim narrated for him in "al-Muqaddimah." He also criticized it for including Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq, and this is also an error, because Ibn Isḥāq is not present in this isnād as you can see
