third: Rawād ibn al-Jarrāḥ from al-Awzāʿī with it. It was recorded by Ibn Jarīr and al-Ḥākim (2/526), who said: "Its isnād is authentic." al-Dhahabī refuted it by saying: "I say: ʿIṣām ibn Rawād is the only one who narrated it from his father, and he has been deemed weak." I say: ʿIṣām is not the only one who narrated it, as Muḥammad ibn Khalaf al-ʿAsqalānī also followed him, and he is trustworthy as al-ʿAsqalānī said. Yes, Rawād is weak due to his confusion, but the preceding corroborations indicate that he preserved it, so the ḥadīth is authentic without a doubt.

- "We had cloaks during the time of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that we wore and prayed in."
