al-Ṭabarānī said: "No one narrated it from Abū ʿAmr except al-Yazīdī, and Abū ʿUmar al-Dūrī was unique in narrating it." I said: He is trustworthy, one of the teachers of Abū Zurʿah and others. al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "There is no harm in him." His teacher Abū Muḥammad al-Yazīdī, whose name is Yaḥyá ibn al-Mubārak, has a biography in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (14/147) and he is deemed trustworthy. The rest of the narrators are well-known trustworthy individuals, whom I discussed in "al-Rawḍ al-Naḍīr" (441) except for this al-Narsī, as I did not find a biography that indicates his condition. Al-Khaṭīb mentioned him in "al-Tārīkh" for this ḥadīth and did not add more, which suggests that he is one of the unknown teachers of al-Ṭabarānī. He has few ḥadīths, as al-Ṭabarānī only included three ḥadīths from him in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ," this being one of them. However, it appears from al-Ṭabarānī's earlier statement that he was not unique in narrating it, as he said: "Abū ʿUmar al-Dūrī was unique in narrating it." Based on this, the isnād is good, and it is further strengthened by the previous chains, especially the first chain, as it is authentic in itself as previously mentioned. Although its text is brief, it is more complete and clearer in the other chains. (Note): The word in the verse: *"yaghull"* with the first letter having a fatḥah and the second a ḍammah. Shaykh al-Aʿẓamī in "al-Kashf" noted it with the first letter having a ḍammah and the second a fatḥah, and some recited it this way. However, the correct version is the first one, as explained by Imām Ibn Jarīr al-Ṭabarī in his "Tafsīr." Those interested should refer to it.
