likewise, it was narrated by ʿAbd al-Razzāq in "al-Muṣannaf" (4/348/8016) and from him by al-Ṭabarānī (9/350/9511) from Ibn ʿUyaynah with it, except that he did not explicitly state it as being raised [to the Prophet]. It was also narrated by Saʿīd ibn Manṣūr: Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah informed us with it, except that he was uncertain about raising it and he abbreviated it, saying:... from Shaqīq ibn Salamah who said: Ḥudhayfah said to ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd: You know that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "There is no iʿtikāf except in the three mosques, or he said: a mosque of congregation." Ibn Ḥazm mentioned it from him in "al-Muḥallá" (5/195), then he rejected the ḥadīth due to this uncertainty. He is excused because he did not come across the narration of the group from Ibn ʿUyaynah as raised without any doubt, and they are: 1 - Muḥammad ibn al-Faraj, according to al-Ismāʿīlī. 2 - Maḥmūd ibn Ādam al-Marwazī, according to al-Bayhaqī. 3 - Hishām ibn ʿAmmār, according to al-Ṭaḥāwī. All of them are trustworthy, and these are their biographies as quoted from "al-Taqrīb": 1 - He is al-Qurashī, their client, al-Baghdādī, truthful, one of the shaykhs of Muslim. 2 - Truthful, one of the shaykhs of al-Bukhārī as mentioned by Ibn ʿAdī. 3 - Truthful, a reciter who grew old and began to be prompted, so his earlier ḥadīth is more authentic, also one of the shaykhs of al-Bukhārī. I said: His agreement with the two trustworthy ones before him is evidence that he preserved it, so it does not harm them if someone hesitated in raising it or stopped it, because raising it is an addition from trustworthy individuals that must be accepted. then I saw that al-Fākihī also narrated it in "Akhbār Makkah" (2/149/1334): He narrated to us
