then Muslim narrated something similar from the ḥadīth of Abū Saʿīd, and Ibn Khuzaymah added (1667): "And indeed, one comes to me [whom I converse with] from the angels, and I dislike that they smell its scent." Its isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and what is between the brackets in the original is dots.. The editor commented on it saying: "An unclear word in the image, perhaps it is 'munājī'." And I say: Perhaps the closest is what has been established. And Allāh knows best. (Note) The ḥadīth was attributed by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Fatḥ" (13/332) to Muslim, which is a slip of the mind or pen, as he referred to a previous place, where he attributed it (2/342) to Ibn Khuzaymah and Ibn Ḥibbān, and he was correct, but he fell short by not attributing it to the Sunan!

- "Whoever departs from the body while free from three will enter Paradise: arrogance, debt, and embezzlement." It is from the ḥadīth of Qatādah from Sālim ibn Abī al-Jaʿd from Maʿdān ibn Abī Ṭalḥah from Thawbān who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. And a group of trustworthy narrators reported it from him in this manner, so let us mention their isnāds: 1 and 2 - Aḥmad (5/276 and 282) said: ʿAffān narrated to us, Hammām and Abān narrated to us, they said: Qatādah narrated it. Then he narrated it (5/277): Yazīd narrated to us from Hammām. 3 - Saʿīd ibn Abī ʿArūbah from Qatādah. It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/281): Muḥammad ibn Bakr and ʿAbd al-Wahhāb narrated to us, they said: Saʿīd narrated it. And it was recorded by al-Bayhaqī (5/355) through another route from ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn ʿAṭāʾ:
