a note on errors: Firstly, this ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah was placed by al-Shawkānī in "Tuhfat al-Dhākirīn" (p. 63) as part of the Musnad of Abū Bakr, but it is actually from the Musnad of Abū Hurayrah. Secondly, he attributed the addition to the ḥadīth of Abū Bakr, but it is actually from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAmr. Thirdly, Shaykh Faḍl Allāh al-Jīlānī said in "Sharḥ al-Adab al-Mufrad" (2/613) under the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAmr: "It was narrated by the three, and authenticated by al-Ḥākim and Ibn Ḥibbān."
