It was recorded by Abū ʿAwānah in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/139). Its isnād is authentic, and all its narrators are trustworthy. The second [narration]: Ḥajjāj ibn Muḥammad from Ibn Jurayj, in a mawqūf form. It was recorded by Abū ʿAwānah and ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad in "al-Sunnah" (p. 48) with their authentic isnād from him. The third [narration]: Rūḥ ibn ʿUbādah, and it was narrated from him by a group: the first of them: Imām Aḥmad, who said: Rūḥ ibn ʿUbādah narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us. It was recorded in "al-Musnad" (3/383) and in "al-Sunnah" (p. 47) and through his route by Ibn Mandah in "al-Īmān" (3/802-803) and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Sunnah" (47-48) and al-Lālakāʾī in "al-Sharḥ" (3/482/835). The second of them: Isḥāq ibn Manṣūr - who is Ibn Bahrām - one of the students of Imām Aḥmad, and he is a trustworthy narrator from the men of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], so Muslim said in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/122): ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Saʿīd and Isḥāq ibn Manṣūr both narrated to me from Rūḥ. The third of them: ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Saʿīd - who is al-Yashkurī - trustworthy and reliable. Muslim included them in the aforementioned narration of Muslim. All three agreed on his saying: "He will appear to them smiling," but there was a difference regarding Isḥāq ibn Manṣūr, as Muslim narrated it from him in this manner, and he was followed by Muḥammad ibn Naʿīm and Muḥammad ibn Shādhān who said: Isḥāq ibn Manṣūr narrated to us. It was recorded by Ibn Mandah (3/804) through the route of Muḥammad ibn Yaʿqūb al-Shaybānī from them. And this al-Shaybānī is Ibn al-Akhram, who is a trustworthy ḥāfiẓ, mentioned in "Tadhkirat al-Ḥuffāẓ" and other works
