2 - From Abū Hurayrah, attributed [to the Prophet]: "Beware of the two accursed things." They asked, "And what are the two accursed things, O Messenger of Allāh?" He said, "The one who relieves himself in the people's path and in their shade." It was recorded by the aforementioned two. It is also found in the two mentioned sources. 3 - His saying (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): "When one of you uses stones [for cleaning], let him use an odd number..." the ḥadīth. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī, Muslim, and Abū ʿAwānah in their "Ṣaḥīḥ" collections, and others through various chains from Abū Hurayrah. I have included some of them in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd" under number (128). It has corroboration from the ḥadīth of Jābir, attributed [to the Prophet] with it. It was recorded by Muslim (1/147) and Aḥmad (3/294) through the route of Abū al-Zubayr, who heard Jābir narrate it. Then Aḥmad recorded it (3/400) through the route of Abū Sufyān from Jābir with the wording: "... let him use stones three times." Its chain is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim. Ibn Abī Shaybah added in "al-Muṣannaf" (1/155): "meaning, perform istinjāʾ." Its documentation has passed (1295) and will come under number (2749). 4 - What some have narrated from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that he said: "Beware of the curses, and prepare the arrows." It was recorded by Abū ʿUbayd in "Gharīb al-Ḥadīth" (Q 12/2): Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan narrated to us from ʿĪsá ibn Abī ʿĪsá al-Ḥannāṭ from al-Shaʿbī from someone who heard the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say that
