it is a modern innovation, a communist distortion, a clear contradiction to what our righteous predecessors practiced, a burden on women for which they were not created, and an exposure to what is not appropriate for them if they fall into the enemy's captivity. And Allāh is the one whose help is sought.

- "When Allāh created the creation, the womb stood and took hold of the waist of the Most Merciful. [He said: Stop], it said: This is the place of one seeking refuge [with You] from severance. He said: [Yes], are you not pleased that I maintain ties with those who maintain you and sever ties with those who sever you? [It said: Yes, my Lord!] He said: That is [for you]. Abū Hurayrah said: [Then the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:] Recite if you wish * (So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your [ties of] kinship? Those are the ones whom Allāh has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision. Then do they not reflect upon the Qurʾān, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?) * ". It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/330): Abū Bakr al-Ḥanafī narrated to us, Muʿāwiyah ibn Abī Muzarrad narrated to me, he said: My uncle Saʿīd Abū al-Ḥabbāb narrated to me, he said: I heard Abū Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, and they have both recorded it as will be mentioned. And Abū Bakr al-Ḥanafī's name is ʿAbd al-Kabīr ibn ʿAbd al-Majīd al-Baṣrī. Imām Aḥmad was contradicted by Abū Masʿūd Aḥmad ibn al-Furāt who said: Abū Bakr al-Ḥanafī narrated to us with the wording: "When Allāh created Adam, He left some of his clay and created from it the womb..." a similar ḥadīth
