in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" under ḥadīth (5540), but perhaps it is suitable as a supporting evidence for the first path. (Note): His saying: "I would have answered him" is as it appears in "Musnad Abī Yaʿlá," and the manuscript is poor, but it also appears in the transmission by al-Haythamī from it. Shaykh Abū Ghuddah claimed in his commentary on "al-Taṣrīḥ bimā Tawātara fī Nuzūl al-Masīḥ" (p. 245) that it is a distortion, and the correct version is: "I would have answered him," and it is possible. And Allāh knows best.

"Indeed, Allāh will make in place of every thorn (meaning from the talḥ tree in Paradise) like the testicle of a castrated goat - meaning the castrated one - in it are seventy colors of food, each color not resembling the other." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (17/130/318) and in "Musnad al-Shāmiyyīn" (p. 91) from Yaḥyá ibn Ḥamzah from Thawr ibn Yazīd from Ḥabīb ibn ʿUbayd from ʿUtbah ibn al-Salmī who said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) when a Bedouin came and said: O Messenger of Allāh! I hear you mention a tree in Paradise that I do not know of anything in this world with more thorns than it, meaning the talḥ. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: Indeed, Allāh... I said: And this isnād is authentic; its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of al-Bukhārī except for Ḥabīb ibn ʿUbayd, who is among the narrators of Muslim. Al-Haythamī said (10/414): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its narrators are the narrators of the authentic collections."
