- "He offered a sacrifice on his own behalf after he was sent as a Prophet." It is narrated through two chains from Anas (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu): the first is from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Muḥarrir from Qatādah from him. It was recorded by ʿAbd al-Razzāq in "al-Muṣannaf" (4/329/7960) and through him by Ibn Ḥibbān in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (2/33), al-Bazzār in "Musnad" (2/74/1237 - Kashf al-Astār), and Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (Q 209/1), who said: "The narrations of ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Muḥarrir are not preserved." Al-Bazzār said: "ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Muḥarrir is the sole narrator of this, and he is very weak; only what is not found with others is written from him." Al-Dhahabī mentioned it in his biography in "al-Mīzān" as one of his calamities! Al-Ḥāfiẓ attributed it in "al-Talkhīṣ" (4/147) to al-Bayhaqī, saying: "He said: It is munkar, and it includes ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Muḥarrir, who is very weak, and ʿAbd al-Razzāq said: They only criticized him because of this ḥadīth." Al-Bayhaqī said: "It is also narrated through another chain from Qatādah, and another from Anas, but it is nothing." I say: As for the other chain from Qatādah, I have not seen it elevated; it is only reported that he used to give fatwá with it, as Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr mentioned. Al-Bazzār and others even asserted that ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Muḥarrir was the sole narrator from Qatādah. As for the other chain from Anas, it was recorded by Abū al-Shaykh in "al-Aḍāḥī," Ibn Aʿyan in "Muṣannaf," and al-Khallāl through the chain of ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Muthanná... I say: This is the following chain, and it was recorded by several others more famous than those mentioned, as will be shown. The claim of exclusivity narrated from Qatādah will be refuted by the words of al-Ḥāfiẓ himself
- " عق عن نفسه بعدما بعث نبيا ". روي من طريقين عن أنس ﵁: الأولى: عن عبد الله بن المحرر عن قتادة عنه. أخرجه عبد الرزاق في " المصنف " (٤ / ٣٢٩ / ٧٩٦٠) ومن طريقه ابن حبان في " الضعفاء " (٢ / ٣٣) والبزار في " مسنده " (٢ / ٧٤ / ١٢٣٧ - كشف الأستار) وابن عدي في " الكامل " (ق ٢٠٩ / ١) وقال: " عبد الله بن محرر رواياته غير محفوظة ". وقال البزار: " تفرد به عبد الله بن المحرر، وهو ضعيف جدا، إنما يكتب عنه ما لا يوجد عند غيره ". وأورده الذهبي في ترجمته من " الميزان " على أنه من بلاياه! وعزاه الحافظ في " التلخيص " (٤ / ١٤٧) للبيهقي، وقال: " وقال: منكر، وفيه عبد الله بن محرر، وهو ضعيف جدا، وقال عبد الرزاق: إنما تكلموا فيه لأجل هذا الحديث. قال البيهقي: " وروي من وجه آخر عن قتادة، ومن وجه آخر عن أنس، وليس بشيء ". قلت: أما الوجه الآخر عن قتادة فلم أره مرفوعا، وإنما ورد أنه كان يفتي به، كما حكاه ابن عبد البر، بل جزم البزار وغيره بتفرد عبد الله بن محرر عن قتادة، وأما الوجه الآخر عن أنس فأخرجه أبو الشيخ في " الأضاحي "، وابن أعين في " مصنفه "، والخلال من طريق عبد الله بن المثنى.. ". قلت: وهي الطريق الآتية، وقد أخرجها جمع آخر أشهر ممن ذكر كما يأتي. والتفرد الذي حكاه عن قتادة سيأتي رده من كلام الحافظ نفسه.
