" we do not know of Ashʿath narrating with this isnād except for this ḥadīth." I said: Ashʿath ibn Sawwār is a subject of disagreement, and Muslim included him in the follow-ups, so he is someone whose ḥadīths are used for support. However, his teacher Ashʿath is unknown to me. And Allāh knows best. Moreover, the ḥadīth has been authentically reported from Abū Hurayrah in a similar manner, except that it says: "and against the image-makers" instead of "and against whoever kills a soul...", and its extraction has been mentioned under number (512).
