"The murdered person will come with his head in one hand, holding his killer by the collar with the other hand, his jugular veins gushing blood, until he reaches the Throne. The murdered person will say to the Lord of the Worlds: This one killed me. Allāh will say to the killer: Woe to you, and he will be taken to the Fire." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/95/2 - 96/1) and "al-Awsaṭ" (no. 4375): al-ʿAbbās ibn al-Faḍl al-Asfaṭī told us, saying: Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Uways informed us, saying: My father narrated to me from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Faḍl from Nāfiʿ ibn Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim from Ibn ʿAbbās: A questioner asked him, saying: O Abū al-ʿAbbās! Is there repentance for the killer? Ibn ʿAbbās, as if amazed by his question, said: What are you saying?! He repeated his question to him, and he said: What are you saying?! twice or thrice. Then Ibn ʿAbbās said: How can he have repentance?! I heard your Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. And he said: "No one narrated this ḥadīth from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Faḍl except Abū Uways, and his son Ismāʿīl was unique in narrating it." I said: He is one of the shaykhs of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], but his memory is weak. And similarly his father, whose name is ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Uways, except that al-Bukhārī did not narrate from him, and those above him are trustworthy according to their criteria, so the ḥadīth is ḥasan, if Allāh wills. Rather, it is ṣaḥīḥ, as it has come through other chains: 1 - Shabābah said: Waraqāʾ ibn ʿUmar narrated to us from ʿAmr ibn Dīnār from Ibn ʿAbbās from the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned it with some abbreviation, and added:
