(2/227/1) through the chains from Muḥammad ibn Yaʿqūb al-Aṣamm: Baḥr (original: (Yaḥyá), which is a scribe's error) ibn Naṣr al-Khūlānī narrated to us: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, informing me from Ibn Lahīʿah, from Yazīd ibn Ḥabīb, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿUmar, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar who said: and he mentioned it. I said: This is a good isnād, as all its narrators are trustworthy and known for their accuracy and memorization, except for Ibn Lahīʿah, who has some weakness in his memory. However, they strengthened the ḥadīth of the ʿAbādilah from him, among whom is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Wahb, and it seems that this is because they heard from him before his books were burned, and his memory and narration deteriorated. The motivation for clarifying this was that I saw al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mundhirī had indicated the weakening of this ḥadīth in "al-Targhīb" (3/108) by introducing it with the phrase: (It is narrated), and my experience with him is that he introduces Ibn Lahīʿah's ḥadīths with the phrase (from), which implies strength, even if it is not from the narration of the ʿAbādilah. There are many examples of this, and here are some in my book "Ḍaʿīf al-Targhīb wa-al-Tarhīb," indicated by their numbers therein: (149, 186, 218, 220). In fact, I saw that he explicitly improved some of his ḥadīths, including ḥadīth (369). It has a supporting narration from the narration of Zamaʿah ibn Ṣāliḥ from Abū Ḥāzim from Sahl ibn Saʿd (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed away while he had a woolen cloak (and in another narration: a garment from Anmār of black wool) in weaving." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (6/219/5919/2920) through two chains from him. I said: This isnād is ḥasan in follow-ups and supporting narrations. Al-Haythamī said (5/131): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and in it is Zamaʿah ibn Ṣāliḥ, who is weak, but he has been deemed reliable, and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy."
(٢ / ٢٢٧/ ١) من طرق عن محمد بن يعقوب الأصم: حدثنا بحر (الأصل: (يحيى) وهو خطأ من الناسخ) ابن نصر الخولاني: حدثنا ابن وهب أخبرني ابن لهيعة عن يزيد بن حبيب عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن عبد الله بن عمر قال: فذكره. قلت: وهذا إسناد جيد، فإن رجاله كلهم ثقات معروفون بالضبط والحفظ غير ابن لهيعة، فإن فيه ضعفا من قبل حفظه، لكنهم قووا حديث العبادلة عنه ومنهم عبد الله بن وهب هذا، وكأن ذلك لأنهم سمعوا منه قبل أن تحترق كتبه، ويسوء حفظه وتحديثه. ولقد كان الباعث على تحرير هذا أنني رأيت الحافظ المنذري قد أشار إلى تضعيف هذا الحديث في " الترغيب " (٣ / ١٠٨) بتصديره إياه بقوله: (روي)، وعهدي به أنه يصدر أحاديث ابن لهيعة بقوله (عن) المشعر بالقوة حتى ولو كان من غير رواية العبادلة، والأمثلة على ذلك كثيرة وإليك بعضها في كتابي " ضعيف الترغيب والترهيب " مشيرا إليها بأرقامها فيه: (١٤٩ و ١٨٦ و ٢١٨ و ٢٢٠). بل رأيته صرح بتحسين بعض أحاديثه منها الحديث (٣٦٩). وله شاهد من رواية زمعة بن صالح عن أبي حازم عن سهل بن سعد ﵁ قال: " توفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وله جبة صوف (وفي رواية: حلة من أنمار من صوف أسود) في الحياكة ". أخرجه الطبراني في " المعجم الكبير " (٦ / ٢١٩ / ٥٩١٩ / ٢٩٢٠) من طريقين عنه. قلت: وهذا إسناد حسن في المتابعات والشواهد، قال الهيثمي (٥/ ١٣١): " رواه الطبراني، وفيه زمعة بن صالح، وهو ضعيف، وقد وثق، وبقية رجاله ثقات ".
