Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt," and said (8/301): "Abū Saʿīd al-Ḥaddād narrated rare reports from him." And he said in another place (6/437): "... the people of Wāsiṭ narrated from him." Al-Ḥāfiẓ transmitted this from him in "al-Lisān." Strangely, he did not mention in this biography everything I previously quoted from Ibn Abī Ḥātim and those before him! As for Muḥammad ibn Kathīr, the grandson of Yazīd ibn Hārūn's daughter, I have not yet found a biography for him in the sources available to me. It is known from what was mentioned earlier that he was one of the shaykhs of al-Bazzār and Baḥshal, and the latter narrated other ḥadīths from him (pp. 160 and 205). It seems he was not from Wāsiṭ, as he translated many of his shaykhs at the end of the book (pp. 218-292), and he was not among them, so perhaps he was from Basra. And Allāh knows best. Then I saw in another place in "al-Thiqāt": "Originally from Basra, he resided in Wāsiṭ." In conclusion, this path strengthens the narration of Ibn Judʿān, especially since the ḥadīth has many supporting witnesses, a good number of which were previously mentioned under numbers (294 and 297).
- "There is no woman who loses three children and anticipates reward for them except that she will enter Paradise." One of the women said: "Or two?" He said: "Or two." It was narrated by Imām Aḥmad (2/246): Sufyān narrated to us, Suhayl ibn Abī Ṣāliḥ narrated from his father from Abū Hurayrah:
