- "Whoever tells you that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) urinated standing, do not believe him; he only urinated sitting." It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (1/11), al-Tirmidhī (1/17), Ibn Mājah (1/130), and al-Ṭayālisī (1/45 of his arrangement), all from Sharīk ibn al-Miqdām from Shurayḥ from his father from ʿĀʾishah who said... and mentioned it. Al-Tirmidhī said: "The ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah is the best and most authentic thing in the chapter." I said... And this does not mean the ḥadīth is considered good, let alone authentic, as is known in the science of terminology, and it seems this is due to the weakness of Sharīk the judge, but he was not alone in narrating it. Rather, he was followed by Sufyān al-Thawrī from al-Miqdām ibn Shurayḥ with it. It was recorded by Abū ʿAwānah in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/198), al-Ḥākim (1/181), al-Bayhaqī (1/101), and Aḥmad (1/136, 192, 213) through various routes from Sufyān with it. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the conditions of the two shaykhs," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, but there is some consideration, as al-Miqdām ibn Shurayḥ and his father were not used by al-Bukhārī, so it is according to the conditions of Muslim alone. Al-Dhahabī said in "al-Muhadhdhab" (1/22/2): "Its chain is authentic." It becomes clear from the above that the ḥadīth is authentic with this corroboration, and it was hidden from al-Tirmidhī
- " من حدثكم أن النبي ﷺ كان يبول قائما فلا تصدقوه، ما كان يبول إلا قاعدا ". أخرجه النسائي (١ / ١١) والترمذي (١ / ١٧) وابن ماجه (١ / ١٣٠) والطيالسي (١ / ٤٥ من ترتيبه) كلهم عن شريك بن المقدام عن شريح عن أبيه عن عائشة قالت ... فذكره. وقال الترمذي: " حديث عائشة أحسن شيء في الباب وأصح ". قلت ... وهذا ليس معناه تحسين الحديث بله تصحيحه كما هو معروف في علم المصطلح وكأن ذلك لضعف شريك القاضي، ولكنه لم ينفرد به. بل تابعه سفيان الثوري عن المقدام بن شريح به. أخرجه أبو عوانة في " صحيحه " (١ / ١٩٨) والحاكم (١ / ١٨١) والبيهقي (١ / ١٠١) وأحمد (١ / ١٣٦، ١٩٢، ٢١٣) من طرق عن سفيان به. وقال الحاكم: " صحيح على شرط الشيخين "، ووافقه الذهبي، وفيه نظر، فإن المقدام ابن شريح وأبوه لم يحتج بهما البخاري فهو على شرط مسلم وحده. وقال الذهبي في " المهذب " (١ / ٢٢ / ٢) : " سنده صحيح ". فتبين مما سبق أن الحديث صحيح بهذه المتابعة، وقد خفيت على الترمذي
