with the incorrect wording that al-Bayhaqī narrated from the group (1), even though he mentioned it at the beginning of his book (number 8) in a summarized form that does not contain this error. I do not know if it is from him or from some of the book's copyists. It is strange that this error persists in most of the printed copies today, and even more surprising is that its commentator, Ibn ʿAllān, followed this in his commentary on the ḥadīth (4/406), which is clearly false as I explained in my introduction to "Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn" in my verification. On this occasion, I must say a brief word about the Islamic Office's publication of this book "al-Riyāḍ" in a new edition! In the year (1412). They placed a black introduction for it, full of falsehoods, slander, and insinuations, which there is no room now to elaborate on, as it requires composing a special book, and time is too limited and precious, especially since anyone who reads it and reads some of its comments will conclude that the man is confused and contradictory in what he says. And... if the old wisdom says: "The title suffices you from the written content," it is enough for the reader as evidence of what I pointed out to quote under the book's title and the author's name: "Verified by a group of scholars, edited by Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī." He changed and altered what was in the first edition: "Verified by Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī" and replaced the word (verification) with the word (editing) to attribute the verification to others, namely (a group of scholars)! The least that can be said about this is that he did not adhere to the manners of the Quran: * "And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption." * Then who are these (scholars)?
