(Manīriyyah Edition) but the commentator corrected it according to his claim, making it (ḥadīd) with an unpointed ḥāʾ, then commented saying: "In some copies, it is 'jadīd al-mawt' with a jīm, which is incorrect, and the correct version is 'ḥadīd' with an unpointed ḥāʾ, meaning the prison and severity of death, and Allāh knows best." I said: What he considered incorrect is actually correct, and the meaning is very clear: it refers to the face and path of death, as it is mentioned in "al-Nihāyah": "And in it: 'What is on the jadīd of the earth' meaning its face." Then I saw in "Lisān al-ʿArab" something explicit about what I mentioned. He said (3/112): "And jadīd: what you have no prior acquaintance with, and therefore death is described as jadīd, Hudhaylīyah, Abū Dhūʾayb said: So I said to my heart, O you of good fortune, it only leads you to the new death, its bubbles." And al-Akhfash and al-Mughāfiṣ al-Bāhilī said: "Jadīd al-mawt: its beginning." Thus, what I said is confirmed, and all praise is due to Allāh.

- "Whoever does not supplicate to Allāh, He becomes angry with him." It was narrated by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (658), al-Tirmidhī (2/342), Ibn Mājah (3827), al-Ḥākim (1/491), Aḥmad (2/442 and 477), Ibn Abī Shaybah (10/200), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (1/35/1099), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Duʿāʾ" (2/796/23) and in "al-Awsaṭ" (3/216/2452 T), Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (7/295), and al-Baghawī in "his Tafsīr" (7/310 - Manār) from many routes from Ṣubayḥ Abū al-Milīḥ who said: I heard Abū Ṣāliḥ narrating from Abū Hurayrah in a marfūʿ manner. And al-Ḥākim said:
