I said: and this is a very weak isnād. Ḥamzah ibn Abī Ḥamzah al-Jazarī al-Naṣībī is abandoned and accused of fabrication as mentioned in "Taqrīb." For this reason, al-Haythamī said in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (8/59): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ,' and in it is Ḥamzah ibn Abī Ḥamzah, and he is abandoned." And regarding the ḥadīth of the chapter: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ,' and its isnād is good." Similarly, al-Mundhirī said (4/61), and it is as they said except for the unknown status of Ibn ʿArq al-Ḥimṣī. Perhaps they found authentication for him or a corroborator, and this is indicated by the previous statement of al-Ṭabarānī: "No one narrated it... except ʿAmr." And Allāh knows best. Al-Ṭabarānī also narrated another ḥadīth for him in "al-Muʿjam al-Ṣaghīr" (180/al-Rawḍ al-Naḍīr). And he has in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (17) a ḥadīth (2522-2539) and something similar in "al-Duʿāʾ" (see its first volume, p. 167), and al-Mizzī mentioned him among those who narrated from (ʿAmr ibn ʿUthmān al-Ḥimṣī) and (Muḥammad ibn Muṣṭafā). The ḥadīth has a corroborating narration from Ibn ʿAbbās, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "Indeed, everything has an honor, and the honor of gatherings is those facing the qiblah." It is produced in the other book (1486).
