isḥāq is al-Sabīʿī as mentioned in "al-Iṣābah," and he became confused, an acceptable narrator but not reliable. As for Saʿīd ibn al-Ḥārith, I do not know him, so the isnād is obscure, and the first [narration] is stronger due to the corroboration of Maʿqil for Ibn Lahīʿah, but it includes the ʿanʿanah of Abū al-Zubayr, who is known for tadlīs, so I do not know if he heard it from Jābir or not. Perhaps al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar favored the first [narration], as he mentioned it in "al-Fatḥ" (11/240) from this narration of Muslim, remaining silent about it, or because of supporting evidences he mentioned nearby, which strengthen the ḥadīth in my view, if Allāh wills. Among them is the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed away, and there was nothing in my house that a liver could eat except for a piece of barley on a shelf of mine, and I ate from it until it lasted long for me, so I measured it, and it was depleted. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (6/146 and 11/239), Muslim (8/218), Ibn Mājah (3345), and Aḥmad (4/108), who added: "I wish I had not measured it." Its isnād is good.

"Have your sister ʿĀʾishah ride behind you and perform ʿumrah from al-Tanʿīm. When you descend the hill, instruct her to enter the state of iḥrām, for it is an accepted ʿumrah." It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (3/477) through the route of Dāwūd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-ʿAṭṭār: ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUthmān ibn Khuthaym narrated to me from Yūsuf ibn Māhak from Ḥafṣah bint ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr from her father that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to him: and he mentioned it. He remained silent about it. Al-Dhahabī said: "I say: its isnād is strong."
