It was recorded by Muslim (5/94), Abū Dāwūd (2/149), and Aḥmad (2/277) from Dāwūd ibn Qays, from Mūsá ibn Yasār, from Abū Hurayrah, as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. (scant) is explained by what follows (little). In "al-Nihāyah," it is said: "al-mashfūh: the little, and its origin is water over which many lips have gathered until it has diminished." There is supporting evidence from the ḥadīth of Jābir, narrated by Abū al-Zubayr, that he asked Jābir about a man's servant when he has relieved him of hardship and heat. He said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) commanded us to invite him, and if anyone dislikes eating with him, let him place a morsel in his hand. It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/346): Mūsá narrated to us, Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us, from Abū al-Zubayr with it. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Fatḥ" (9/478) after attributing it to Aḥmad: "And its isnād is ḥasan." I say: Ibn Lahīʿah had poor memory, but he was corroborated. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (30): Muḥammad ibn Salām narrated to us, he said: Mukhallad ibn Yazīd informed us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: Abū al-Zubayr narrated to me with it. And this isnād is authentic according to his criteria in the Ṣaḥīḥ. And Ibn Jurayj and Ibn al-Zubayr are known for tadlīs, but they both explicitly stated the transmission.
أخرجه مسلم (٥ / ٩٤) وأبوداود (٢ / ١٤٩) وأحمد (٢ / ٢٧٧) عن داود بن قيس عن موسى بن يسار عن أبيهريرة مرفوعا. (مشفوها) فسره ما بعده (قليلا) قال في " النهاية ": "المشفوه: القليل، وأصله الماء الذي كثرت عليه الشفاه حتى قل ". وله شاهد من حديث جابر يرويه أبو الزبير أنه سأل جابرا عن خادم الرجل إذا كفاه المشقة والحر، فقال: أمرنا النبي ﷺ أن ندعوه فإن كره أحد أن يطعم معه فليطعمه أكلة في يده. أخرجه أحمد (٣ / ٣٤٦) : حدثنا موسى حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن أبي الزبير به. قال الحافظ في " الفتح " (٩ / ٤٧٨) بعد أن عزاه لأحمد: " وإسناده حسن ". قلت: ابن لهيعة سيىء الحفظ، وقد توبع، فأخرجه البخاري في " الأدب المفرد " (٣٠) : حدثنا محمد بن سلام قال: أخبرنا مخلد بن يزيد قال: أنبأنا ابن جريج قال: حدثني أبو الزبير به. وهذا سند صحيح على شرطه في الصحيح. وابن جريج وابن الزبير مدلسان، لكنهما قد صرحا بالتحديث.
