"There is no good in her; she is among the people of the Fire. It means a woman who harms her neighbors with her tongue." Narrated by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (no. 119), Ibn Ḥibbān (2054), al-Ḥākim (4/166), Aḥmad (2/440), and Abū Bakr Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Muʿaddil in "al-Amālī" (6/1-2) from the route of al-Aʿmash, who said: Abū Yaḥyá, the freed slave of Jaʿdah ibn Hubayrah, narrated to us, saying: I heard Abū Hurayrah say: "It was said to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): O Messenger of Allāh, indeed, so-and-so stands in prayer at night and fasts during the day, and she does good and gives charity, but she harms her neighbors with her tongue. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: There is no good in her; she is among the people of the Fire. He said: And so-and-so prays the obligatory prayers and gives charity with pieces (of dried yogurt) and does not harm anyone. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: She is among the people of Paradise." I said: Its isnād is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy and well-known, except for this Abū Yaḥyá, whom the Ḥāfiẓ left blank in "al-Tahdhīb," not mentioning his reliability from anyone. Based on this, he said in "al-Taqrīb": Acceptable, meaning his ḥadīth is weak. This is surprising, as Ibn Abī Ḥātim (4/2/457) narrated from Ibn Maʿīn that he said about him: "Trustworthy." Al-Dhahabī relied on this in "al-Mīzān" and also said: "Trustworthy." This is further supported by the fact that Muslim included one ḥadīth from him, as mentioned in "Tahdhīb al-Kamāl." The ḥadīth was also narrated by al-Bazzār and Ibn Abī Shaybah, as in "al-Targhīb" (4/235), and its isnād was authenticated. (Atwār) is the plural of (tūr) with the upper dotted letter, a vessel made of brass.
