and the narrator from him is Abū al-Ward ibn Abī Burdah. The ḥāfiẓ firmly stated that he is Abū al-Ward ibn Thumāmah ibn Ḥazn al-Qushayrī, meaning the one previously mentioned in his narration from Abū Muḥammad al-Ḥaḍramī. and that his statement here, "ibn Abī Burdah," is an error. I said: It is possible that the kunyah of Thumāmah, the father of Abū al-Ward, is "Abū Burdah," so there is no necessity for considering it an error then. And Allāh knows best. Ibn Thumāmah is deemed acceptable by the ḥāfiẓ. And Allāh knows best. There is a corroborating ḥadīth from Abū Hurayrah, raised to the Prophet, with the wording: "Whoever says: 'There is no deity but Allāh...' after performing the morning prayer ten times..." the ḥadīth, except that it says: "and it will be equivalent to freeing two slaves from the descendants of Ismāʿīl." It was recorded by al-Khaṭīb in "al-Tārīkh" (12/389 and 472) through the route of al-Ḥasan ibn ʿArafah: narrated to us by Qurān ibn Tamām al-Asadī from Suhayl ibn Abī Ṣāliḥ from his father from him. I said: This isnād is authentic, and it is in the well-known "Juzʾ al-Ḥasan ibn ʿArafah" (no. 18), and al-Nājī said in "al-ʿAjālah" (70): "And its isnād is according to the conditions of Muslim, but they did not include it." And I say: Qurān ibn Tamām was not included by Muslim in anything, so it is only authentic as we mentioned. It was previously referenced under number (113). It was also recorded by Aḥmad (2/360), Ibn Mandah in "al-Tawḥīd" (folio 59/2), and al-Bayhaqī (1/345) through the route of Sumay from Abū Ṣāliḥ with a similar narration, but he said: "when he wakes up" and "when he goes to sleep."
والراوي عنه أبو الورد بن أبي بردة جزم الحافظ بأنه أبو الورد بن ثمامة بن حزن القشيري، يعني المتقدم من روايته عن أبي محمد الحضرمي. وأن قوله هنا ابن أبي بردة وهم. قلت: ويحتمل أن كنية ثمامة والد أبي الورد: " أبو بردة "، فلا ضرورة للتوهيم حينئذ. والله أعلم. وابن ثمامة مقبول عند الحافظ. والله أعلم. وللحديث شاهد من حديث أبي هريرة مرفوعا بلفظ: " من قال: لا إله إلا الله ... بعد ما يصلي الغداة عشر مرات ... " الحديث، إلا أنه قال: " وكن له بعدل عتق رقبتين من ولد إسماعيل ". أخرجه الخطيب في " التاريخ " (١٢ / ٣٨٩ و٤٧٢) من طريق الحسن بن عرفة: حدثنا قران بن تمام الأسدي عن سهيل بن أبي صالح عن أبيه عنه. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح، وهو في " جزء الحسن بن عرفة " المشهور (رقم: ١٨) ، وقال الناجي في " العجالة " (٧٠) : " وإسناده على شرط مسلم، لكن لم يخرجوه ". وأقول: قران بن تمام لم يخرج له مسلم شيئا، فهو صحيح فقط كما ذكرنا. وقد سبق تخريجه برقم (١١٣) . وأخرجه أحمد (٢ / ٣٦٠) وابن منده في " التوحيد " (ق ٥٩ / ٢) والبيهقي (١ / ٣٤٥) من طريق سمي عن أبي صالح به نحوه، لكنه قال: " حين يصبح " و " حين يمسي ".
