Muḥammad narrated to us, ʿAmr ibn al-ʿAbbās: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us from Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ from Abū Maryam from Abū Hurayrah: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) ordered that a sheep be slaughtered and distributed among the neighbors. He said: So I slaughtered it and distributed it among the neighbors, and I saved the foreleg for the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), as the foreleg was the most beloved part of the sheep to him. When the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) came, ʿĀʾishah said: "Nothing remains of it with us except the foreleg." He said: "All of it remains except the foreleg." The abridged version, which is by Ibn Ḥajar, states: "Its isnād is good." Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (3/109): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār, and its men are trustworthy." I said: And all its narrators are trustworthy and well-known from the men of "al-Tahdhīb" except for ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad, whom I do not recognize now. Then I saw the ḥadīth of the translation in "al-Mustadrak" (4/136) in an abridged form from the route of Isrāʾīl from Abū Isḥāq with it from ʿĀʾishah who said: "We had a sheep and we feared it would die, so we slaughtered it and distributed it except for its shoulder." He said: "Its isnād is authentic." And al-Dhahabī agreed with him.

- "Indeed, Allāh does not accept the repentance of a servant who disbelieves after his Islam." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/446 and 5/2 and 3) from the route of Abū Qazʿah al-Bāhilī from Ḥakīm ibn Muʿāwiyah from his father who said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: And this isnād is authentic, all its men are trustworthy, and the name of Abū Qazʿah is Suwayd ibn Ḥujayr
