"O Allāh, increase his wealth and children, prolong his life, and forgive him. Meaning Anas (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu)." It was recorded by Abū Yaʿlá in "Musnad" (3/1048): Abū al-Rabīʿ al-Zahrānī narrated to us, Ḥammād ibn Zayd informed us from Sinān ibn Rabīʿah from Anas ibn Mālik who said: My mother took me to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: O Messenger of Allāh! Your servant, so pray to Allāh for him. He said: (and he mentioned it) He said: My wealth increased, my life was prolonged until I became embarrassed in front of my family, and my fruits ripened (!), and as for the fourth, meaning forgiveness. I say: This isnād is good, its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs except for Sinān ibn Rabīʿah, for al-Bukhārī recorded from him in conjunction with others, and al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Truthful but has some weakness." Al-Bukhārī also recorded it in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (653) through the route of Saʿīd ibn Zayd from Sinān with a similar narration, and in it, he said: "He prayed for me with three [prayers], I buried one hundred and three, and my fruits are harvested twice a year, and my life was prolonged until I became embarrassed before the people, and I hope for forgiveness." He titled it "Chapter on One Who Prays for Long Life." Its origin is in "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī" (11/122 - Fatḥ) and Muslim (2/128) through two other routes from Anas without mentioning the lifespan, and the compiler of "al-Adab al-Mufrad" erred by attributing it to Muslim without al-Bukhārī, and without noting that the lifespan is not mentioned by them, and it was previously recorded under numbers (140 and 141), yet al-Bukhārī titled it in "al-Ṣaḥīḥ."
