"It was narrated by Abū al-Qāsim al-Aṣbahānī, and its isnād should be examined." It was also reported by Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (7/256) with a weak isnād from ʿAbdah. Thus, reliance is on the narration of Abū al-Shaʿthāʾ.

"Allāh does not look at the prayer of a servant who does not straighten his back between its bowing and prostration." It was reported by Imām Aḥmad (4/22): Wakīʿ narrated to us, saying: ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār narrated to us from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Zayd—or Badr, I am unsure—from Ṭalq ibn ʿAlī al-Ḥanafī who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is good, its men are trustworthy, men of Muslim, except for ʿAbd Allāh ibn Zayd or Badr—ʿIkrimah was unsure—if it is Ibn Zayd, I do not know him, and if it is Ibn Badr—and this is more likely—he is trustworthy without disagreement among them, and he is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Badr ibn ʿUmayrah al-Ḥanafī al-Yamāmī. He narrated from a group of Companions, including Ṭalq ibn ʿAlī, and a group of the Followers of the Followers narrated from him, including this ʿIkrimah, and Ayyūb ibn ʿUtbah and others. Ayyūb ibn ʿUtbah also followed him in narrating this ḥadīth from him, but he differed in its isnād, as Aḥmad said: Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us, saying: Ayyūb ibn ʿUtbah narrated to us: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Badr narrated to us from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAlī ibn Shaybān from his father that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. Aḥmad presented it following the previous narration, as if to indicate Ayyūb's disagreement with ʿIkrimah, and there is no doubt that his disagreement is rejected because he is weak due to poor memory, to the extent that Ibn Ḥibbān said: "He made many mistakes and errors until his mistakes became excessive."
