from ʿUthmān ibn ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr from his father with it, except for his saying: "And whoever closes...". al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the criteria of Muslim." al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and al-Mundhirī acknowledged it (1/174). Ibn ʿAyyāsh was corroborated regarding the mentioned addition. al-Ṭabarānī narrated in "al-Awsaṭ" (1/32/2) through the route of Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Qawwās: Muslim ibn Khālid al-Zinjī narrated to us from Ibn Abī Dhīb from Saʿīd al-Maqburī from ʿUrwah from ʿĀʾishah, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "Whoever closes a gap in a row, Allāh will raise him a degree and build for him a house in Paradise." al-Ṭabarānī said: "No one narrated it from al-Maqburī except Ibn Abī Dhīb, and no one from him except al-Zinjī, and al-Qawwās was unique in narrating it." I said: I do not know him, but his teacher al-Zinjī is weak, while those above him are trustworthy. However, al-Zinjī was corroborated by Wakīʿ as mentioned earlier under number (1892). Thus, the ḥadīth is authentic, and all praise is due to Allāh by whose grace righteous deeds are completed (1). It has a supporting narration from Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet] with it, except that he said: "... and no servant aligns a row except that Allāh raises him a degree, and the angels spread goodness upon him." al-Ṭabarānī also recorded it through the route of Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Khālid ibn Saʿīd ibn Abī Maryam from his father from his grandfather from Ghānim ibn al-Aḥwaṣ, who heard Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Sammānī say: I heard Abū Hurayrah say: and he mentioned it in full, raised [to the Prophet].
