and the ḥadīth has many supporting narrations. See (I am the supplication of my father Ibrāhīm), numbers (1545 and 1546). The ḥadīth in Ibn ʿAsākir's version is more complete, as it includes the mention of the splitting of his chest, its stitching, and the placing of the seal between his shoulders. He said: "It was only that he turned away from me, and it was as if I was witnessing the matter directly."
وللحديث شواهد كثيرة، فانظر (أنا دعوة أبي إبراهيم) ، رقم (١٥٤٥ و ١٥٤٦) والحديث عند ابن عساكر أتم منه، ففيه ذكر شق صدره، وخياطته، وجعل الخاتم بين كتفيه. قال: " فما هو إلا أن وليا عني، فكأنما أعاين الأمر معاينة ".
"You will covet leadership, and it will be a regret [and sorrow] on the Day of Resurrection. What a good wet nurse, and what a bad weaner." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (13/107 - Fatḥ) and al-Nasāʾī (2/187-188 and 304) and Aḥmad (2/476) through various chains from Ibn Abī Dhiʾb from Saʿīd al-Maqburī from Abū Hurayrah from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and the wording is from al-Bukhārī without the addition, which is with the others. They said: "What a good wet nurse..." It is also in another narration by Aḥmad (2/448): Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abī Dhiʾb informed us of it, except that he said: "What a bad wet nurse. And what a good weaner," so it was reversed for him, meaning Yazīd ibn Hārūn, despite his reliability and precision! Abū al-Ḥasan al-Sindī, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: "(What a good wet nurse) refers to the state leading to leadership, which is life. (And what a bad weaner) refers to the state cutting off from leadership, which is death, meaning their life is good, and their death is bad. And Allāh, the Exalted, knows best." Then the ḥadīth was recorded by al-Bukhārī in a suspended form through another chain from Abū Hurayrah's statement. But in its isnād is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥumrān, who is truthful, but Ibn Ḥibbān said about him in "al-Thiqāt": "He errs," so his contradiction is not considered, especially since the addition of a trustworthy narrator is accepted.
" إنكم ستحرصون على الإمارة وستكون ندامة [وحسرة] يوم القيامة، فنعم المرضعة وبئست الفاطمة ". أخرجه البخاري (١٣ / ١٠٧ - فتح) والنسائي (٢ / ١٨٧ - ١٨٨ و ٣٠٤) وأحمد (٢ / ٤٧٦) من طرق عن ابن أبي ذئب عن سعيد المقبري عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ، والسياق للبخاري دون الزيادة، وهي عند الآخرين، وقالا: " فنعمت المرضعة ... "، وهي كذلك في رواية أخرى لأحمد (٢ / ٤٤٨) : حدثنا يزيد ابن هارون قال: أنبأنا ابن أبي ذئب به، إلا أنه قال: " فبئست المرضعة. ونعمت الفاطمة "، فانقلبت عليه، أعني يزيد بن هارون مع ثقته وإتقانه! قال أبو الحسن السندي رحمه الله تعالى: " (فنعمت المرضعة) أى الحالة الموصلة إلى الإمارة، وهي الحياة. (وبئست الفاطمة) أي الحالة القاطعة عن الإمارة، وهي الموت، أي فنعمت حياتهم، وبئس موتهم. والله تعالى أعلم ". ثم إن الحديث أخرجه البخاري معلقا من طريق أخرى عن أبي هريرة قوله. لكن في إسناده عبد الله بن حمران، وهو صدوق، لكن قال فيه ابن حبان في " الثقات ": " يخطىء "، فلا يعتد بمخالفته، لاسيما وزيادة الثقة مقبولة.
