"the best women who rode camels are the righteous women of Quraysh, most caring for a husband in his possession and most compassionate to a child in his youth." Its isnād is as follows: Abū Nuʿaym narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mubashshir, the client of Umm Ḥabībah, narrated to us from Zayd ibn Abī ʿAtāb from Muʿāwiyah in a marfūʿ manner. This isnād is authentic; its men are the men of al-Bukhārī, except for ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mubashshir, who was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Maʿīn as mentioned in "al-Taʿjīl." Al-Bukhārī mentioned this addition in a suspended form in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (193), and al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī connected it through the route of this Ibn Mubashshir, and its men are trustworthy, though there is some discussion about some of them that does not undermine [the authenticity]." End of quote. Compiled from "al-Sharḥ" and "al-Taʿjīl." I said: And this 'some' about whom there is discussion is not clear to me among these three, for Abū Nuʿaym, who is al-Faḍl ibn Dukayn, is a reliable and established narrator as al-Ḥāfiẓ himself stated in "al-Taqrīb," and likewise, Zayd ibn Abī ʿAtāb is considered trustworthy by him, so only this Ibn Mubashshir remains, and he was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Maʿīn as previously mentioned, and al-Ḥāfiẓ did not report any disagreement about him in "al-Taʿjīl." And Allāh knows best. There is a corroborating narration for this addition from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah mentioned earlier with the wording: "The best women who rode camels," so refer to it under number (1052).
"وخير نسوة ركبن الإبل صالح نساء قريش، أرعاه على زوج في ذات يده وأحناه على ولد في صغره". وإسناده هكذا: حدثنا أبو نعيم قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن مبشر مولى أم حبيبة عن زيد بن أبي عتاب عن معاوية مرفوعا به. وهذا سند صحيح رجاله رجال البخاري، غير عبد الله بن مبشر، وقد وثقه ابن معين كما في "التعجيل". وقد علق هذه الزيادة البخاري في "صحيحه" (١٩٣) وقال الحافظ: "وصله أحمد والطبراني من طريق ابن مبشر هذا، ورجاله موثقون، وفي بعضهم مقال لا يقدح". اهـ. مجموعا من "الشرح" و"التعجيل". قلت: وهذا البعض الذي فيه المقال لم يتبين لي من هو من بين هؤلاء الثلاثة، فأبو نعيم وهو الفضل بن دكين ثقة ثبت كما قال الحافظ نفسه في "التقريب"، وكذلك زيد بن أبي عتاب ثقة عنده، فلم يبق إلا ابن مبشر هذا، وقد وثقه ابن معين كما سبق، ولم يحك الحافظ فيه أي خلاف في "التعجيل". والله أعلم. ولهذه الزيادة شاهد من حديث أبي هريرة سبق بلفظ: "خير نساء ركبن الإبل"، فراجعه برقم (١٠٥٢).
