"No servant seeks refuge from the Fire seven times in a day except that the Fire says: 'O Lord, Your servant so-and-so has sought refuge with You from me, so grant him refuge.' And no servant asks Allāh for Paradise seven times in a day except that Paradise says: 'O Lord! Your servant so-and-so has asked me, so admit him to Paradise.'" It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá in his "Musnad" (4/1472-1473) and also by al-Ḍiyāʾ in "Ṣifat al-Jannah" (3/89/1): Abū Khaythamah narrated to us, Jareer informed us from Yūnus from Abū Ḥāzim from Abū Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. Al-Ḍiyāʾ said: "This ḥadīth, according to me, meets the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim." Similarly, al-Mundhirī said before him in "al-Targhīb" (4/222) and Ibn al-Qayyim followed them in "Ḥādī al-Arwāḥ" (1/148) and it is as they said, and the explanation is: 1 - Abū Ḥāzim is Salmān al-Ashjaʿī al-Kūfī, and he is trustworthy without dispute. It is said that he died during the caliphate of ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz. 2 - Yūnus is Ibn Yazīd al-Aylī, al-Dhahabī said: "Trustworthy, a reliable authority, Ibn Saʿd deviated in saying: he is not a reliable authority..." Al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Trustworthy, except that in his narration from al-Zuhrī there is slight error, and in other than al-Zuhrī, there is mistake." 3 - Jareer is Ibn Ḥāzim al-Azdī al-Baṣrī, al-Dhahabī said: "One of the great trustworthy imams, and if it were not for Ibn ʿAdī mentioning him, I would not have included him."
