from the route of Hushaym and others from ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn Jaʿfar, and Khālid ibn al-Ḥārith differed from him in a way that does not harm the authenticity of its text, as previously explained under number (1929). It has been deemed worthy of being re-narrated here, and it is not without benefit.

"Indeed, a man intercedes for two men and for three, and a man for a man." It was narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah in "al-Tawḥīd" (p. 205): Isḥāq ibn Manṣūr narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us from Maʿmar, who said: Thābit al-Bunānī informed me that he heard Anas ibn Mālik say: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... and he mentioned it. It was also narrated by al-Bazzār (3473 - Kashf) through two other routes from ʿAbd al-Razzāq, excluding the last sentence. I say: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs. Al-Mundhirī mentioned it in "al-Targhīb" (4/220), and then al-Haythamī in "al-Majmaʿ" (10/382) from the narration of al-Bazzār (3473 - Kashf al-Astār), and they said: "Its men are the men of the authentic [collections]." I say: It has a supporting narration reported by ʿAṭiyyah al-ʿAwfī from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī as a marfūʿ narration. It was narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah (p. 670) and Aḥmad (3/20 and 63). And ʿAṭiyyah is weak, as is well known.
