"a servant is not afflicted by a thorn or anything greater except that Allāh, the Almighty, expiates some of his sins because of it." It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/185) with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād according to the conditions of Muslim, and it was also recorded in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (8/15) through another chain from her with the wording: "except that some of his sins are expiated because of it, or some of his sins are atoned for," and the doubt is from Yazīd ibn Khuṣayfah, one of its narrators.
" لا يصيب عبدا شوكة فما فوقها إلا قاص الله عزوجل بها من خطاياه ". أخرجه أحمد (٦ / ١٨٥) بإسناد صحيح على شرط مسلم، وقدأخرجه في " صحيحه " (٨ / ١٥) من طريق أخرى عنها بلفظ: " إلا قص بها منخطاياه، أو كفر بها من خطاياه "، والشك من يزيد بن خصيفة أحد رواته.

"whoever visits a sick person continues to walk in mercy until he sits, and when he sits, he is immersed in it." It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (3/234), Aḥmad (3/304), Ibn Abī al-Dunyā in "al-Kaffārāt" (73/1), al-Bayhaqī (3/380), and Ibn Ḥibbān in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (711) through the chain of Hushaym: ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us from ʿUmar ibn al-Ḥakam ibn Thawbān from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is ṣaḥīḥ; its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs, except for ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn Jaʿfar, who is according to the condition of Muslim alone. It was also recorded by al-Bazzār through his chain (1/368/775 - al-Kashf). Abū Maʿshar differed, saying: from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Anṣārī who said: Abū Bakr ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr ibn Ḥazm entered upon ʿUmar ibn al-Ḥakam ibn Thawbān and said: O Abū Ḥafṣ, narrate to us a ḥadīth from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in which there is no difference, he said: Kaʿb ibn Mālik narrated to me that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, and he mentioned something similar. It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/460) and Ibn Abī al-Dunyā (85/2), except that it appeared with him as: "ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān," reversed
- " من عاد مريضا لم يزل يخوض في الرحمة حتى يجلس، فإذا جلس اغتمس فيها ". أخرجه ابن أبي شيبة في " المصنف " (٣ / ٢٣٤) وأحمد (٣ / ٣٠٤) وابن أبيالدنيا في " الكفارات " (٧٣ / ١) والبيهقي (٣ / ٣٨٠) وابن حبان في "صحيحه " (٧١١) من طريق هشيم: حدثنا عبد الحميد بن جعفر عن عمر بن الحكم بنثوبان عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: فذكره. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح رجاله ثقات رجال الشيخين غير عبد الحميد بن جعفر،فهو على شرط مسلم وحده. ومن طريقه أخرجه البزار أيضا (١ / ٣٦٨ / ٧٧٥ - الكشف) . وخالفه أبو معشر فقال: عن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله الأنصارى قال: دخل أبوبكر ابن محمد بن عمرو بن حزن على عمر بن الحكم بن ثوبان فقال: يا أبا حفصحدثنا حديثا عن رسول الله ﷺ ليس فيه اختلاف، قال: حدثني كعببن مالك قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ، فذكره نحوه. أخرجه أحمد (٣/ ٤٦٠) وابن أبي الدنيا (٨٥ / ٢) إلا أنه وقع عنده: " عبد الله بن عبدالرحمن " على القلب.
