It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (3/172), and he remained silent about it. Al-Dhahabī criticized it by saying: "I said: It is not authentic." He indicated that its flaw is the teacher of al-Ḥākim, al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá al-ʿAlawī, who was accused in "al-Mīzān" of fabricating the ḥadīth: "ʿAlī is the best of mankind," and he criticized al-Khaṭīb for his leniency in saying about it: "This is a rejected ḥadīth, not established!" Al-Ḥāfiẓ agreed with him in "al-Lisān." I said: And this ʿAlī ibn Jaʿfar, no one has authenticated him; rather, al-Tirmidhī indicated his weakness by finding his ḥadīth strange with the wording: "Whoever loves me and loves these two..." It is recorded in the other book (3122). Al-Dhahabī said in "al-Mīzān": "I have not seen anyone who criticized him, nor anyone who authenticated him, but his ḥadīth is very rejected, neither authenticated nor deemed good by al-Tirmidhī." Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "Acceptable." Meaning when corroborated. I said: And this addition, which is unique to him without other chains, is very rejected, especially its latter part related to the interpretation of the verse of affection, for the mentioned interpretation is false. It is inconceivable that it would come from al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), because the verse is Makkan, revealed before ʿAlī's marriage to Fāṭimah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā), and the meaning, as authentically reported from Ibn ʿAbbās, is: except that you maintain the kinship between me and you. What is narrated from Ibn ʿAbbās that contradicts this is false and not authentic from him, as I have verified in the other book under number (4974). In summary, the ḥadīth of the chapter is ḥasan through its first two chains, and it can be used as evidence
أخرجه الحاكم (٣ / ١٧٢) ، وسكت عليه. وتعقبه الذهبي بقوله: " قلت: ليس بصحيح ". وأشار إلى أن آفته شيخ الحاكم الحسن بن محمد بن يحيى العلوي، وقد اتهمه في " الميزان " بوضع حديث: " علي خير البشر "، وأنكر على الخطيب تساهله في قوله فيه: " هذا حديث منكر، ليس بثابت "! ووافقه الحافظ في " اللسان ". قلت: وعلي بن جعفر هذا، لم يوثقه أحد، بل أشار الترمذي إلى تضعيفه، بأن استغرب حديثه بلفظ: " من أحبني وأحب هذين ... ". وهو مخرج في الكتاب الآخر (٣١٢٢) . وقال الذهبي في " الميزان ": " ما رأيت أحدا لينه، ولا من وثقه، لكن حديثه منكر جدا، ما صححه الترمذي ولا حسنه ". وقال الحافظ في " التقريب ": " مقبول ". يعني عند المتابعة. قلت: وهذه الزيادة التي تفرد بها دون سائر الطرق منكرة جدا، ولاسيما آخرها المتعلق بتفسير آية المودة، فإن التفسير المذكور باطل، لا يعقل أن يصدر من الحسن بن علي ﵁، لأن الآية مكية نزلت قبل زواج علي بفاطمة ﵄، والمعنى كما صح عن ابن عباس: إلا أن تصلوا قرابة ما بيني وبينكم، وما روي عن ابن عباس مما يخالف هذا باطل لا يصح عنه كما حققته في الكتاب الآخر برقم (٤٩٧٤) . وجملة القول، أن حديث الترجمة حسن بطريقيه الأولين، ويمكن الاستشهاد
