I said: It is supported by the fact that it is mentioned in his biography that Ibn ʿAdī said—having narrated another ḥadīth from him on the authority of Sulaymān—: "And it appears that he is Ibrāhīm ibn Yazīd al-Khuzāʾī, for he narrates from Sulaymān, who is al-Aḥwal..." Thirdly, his statement: "Ibn Maʿīn said about him: He is not strong." I did not see this in his biography in "al-Mīzān" or "al-Lisān." Rather, in both, it is mentioned from Ibn Maʿīn that he said about him: "He is nothing." Ibn Abī Ḥātim also narrated this from him in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" (1/1/383). Yes, he did narrate before him from his father that he said about him: "He is not strong." It appears that Baṣr ibn al-Qaṭṭān transferred this when he narrated from him! And Allāh knows best.

- "It is from the sunnah that when you enter the mosque, you start with your right foot, and when you leave, you start with your left foot." It was narrated by al-Ḥākim (1/218) and from him by al-Bayhaqī (2/442) from Shaddād Abū Ṭalḥah who said: I heard Muʿāwiyah ibn Qurrah narrating from Anas ibn Mālik that he used to say: and he mentioned it. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, for he used Shaddād ibn Saʿīd Abū Ṭalḥah al-Rāsibī as evidence." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him! Al-Bayhaqī said: "Shaddād ibn Saʿīd, Abū Ṭalḥah al-Rāsibī, narrated it uniquely, and he is not strong." I said: And this is closer to the truth, for this Shaddād was only included by Muslim for one ḥadīth in the supporting evidences as mentioned by the ḥāfiẓ in "al-Tahdhīb," and he is disputed over. He was deemed trustworthy by Aḥmad, Ibn Maʿīn, Abū Khaythamah, al-Nasāʾī, Ibn Ḥibbān, and al-Bazzār, but was weakened by ʿAbd al-Ṣamad ibn ʿAbd al-Wārith. Al-ʿUqaylī said: "He has other ḥadīths that are not followed up on." Al-Dāraqutnī said: "He is considered." Al-Ḥākim Abū Aḥmad said: "He is not strong according to them." Ibn ʿAdī said: "I did not see any rejected ḥadīth from him, and I hope there is no harm in him." I said: It is noteworthy that the early and famous scholars agreed on his reliability, and none of them weakened him except ʿAbd al-Ṣamad ibn ʿAbd al-Wārith, who, despite his reliability, is not well-known for criticism and evaluation—as far as I know—and the others who weakened him did not provide a reason for the criticism, except for al-ʿUqaylī's statement: "He has other ḥadīths that are not followed up on." This is not a damaging criticism because many trustworthy narrators have similar statements made about them because they have unique narrations that were not followed up on. Yes, perhaps the man has a kind of weakness and poor memory, which lowers his ḥadīth from the level of authenticity; for this reason, Muslim used him as supporting evidence, and perhaps Ibn ʿAdī refers to this by saying: "There is no harm in him." Likewise, al-Dhahabī's statement about him in "al-Mīzān": "Acceptable in ḥadīth."
