then "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" by al-Ṭabarānī was printed, and I saw that he had included the ḥadīth in it with two isnāds from Baqiyyah, explicitly stating hearing in one of them. He said: (8/122/7499): Abū Yazīd Yūsuf ibn Yazīd al-Qarāṭīsī narrated to us, al-Muʿallá ibn al-Walīd al-Qaʿqāʿī narrated to us, Baqiyyah ibn al-Walīd narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Ziyād narrated to us... with the other wording. I said: This isnād's narrators are trustworthy except for this al-Qaʿqāʿī, as only Ibn Ḥibbān (9/182) considered him reliable, and even then he said: "He might narrate strange things." Then he said (7655): Aḥmad ibn Khalīd al-Ḥalabī narrated to us, ʿUbayd ibn Janād narrated to us, Baqiyyah ibn al-Walīd narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn Ziyād with it. I said: This isnād's narrators are also trustworthy except for this Aḥmad, for I did not find a biography for him. If this wording is authentic, it can be reconciled with the first by saying something like: "His heart softens for me, and my heart softens for him." And Allāh knows best.

"For everything there is a reality, and a servant does not reach the reality of faith until he knows that what befell him was not going to miss him, and what missed him was not going to befall him." It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/441-442), al-Bazzār (8 - his additions), al-Qaḍāʿī (75/1), and Ibn ʿAsākir (4/332/1) through the route of Abū al-Rabīʿ Sulaymān ibn ʿUtbah al-Sulamī from Yūnus ibn Maysarah from Abū Idrīs from Abū al-Dardāʾ from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: and he mentioned it. Al-Bazzār said: "Its isnād is good." And it is as he said or higher, for all its narrators are trustworthy, without any criticism, except for Sulaymān ibn ʿUtbah, and a group has considered him reliable, and what has been said against him holds no weight
