"Indeed, among the believers are those whose hearts are gentle towards me." It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (5/267): Ḥayywah narrated to us, Baqiyyah narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Ziyād narrated to us, Abū Rāshid al-Ḥabranī told me: "Abū Umāmah al-Bāhilī took my hand and said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) took my hand and said to me: O Abū Umāmah! Indeed, ..." the ḥadīth. I said: This isnād is authentic, all its narrators are trustworthy, and Baqiyyah is only feared for tadlīs, but he explicitly stated hearing, so we are safe from his tadlīs. (Note): This ḥadīth was altered by al-Ḥārith al-Muḥāsibī, who mentioned it in his book "Risālat al-Mustarshidīn" (p. 66) with the wording: "his heart is for me." Its editor, Shaykh ʿAbd al-Fattāḥ Abū Ghuddah al-Ḥanafī al-Kawtharī, commented: "I did not find it in the ḥadīth sources I referred to, so Allāh knows best about its authenticity." I said: If he had referred to "al-Musnad," he would have found it, and even if he had referred to something more accessible, he would have come across it, for al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Haythamī mentioned it in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (10/276) with the wording mentioned by al-Muḥāsibī, and al-Haythamī said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its narrators are trustworthy." I said: He missed that it is in "al-Musnad" with the first wording, and then I saw that he mentioned it elsewhere (1/63) with the first wording, and said: "It was narrated by Aḥmad, and its narrators are those of the authentic [collections]." Perhaps his statement: "and its narrators are trustworthy" is because Baqiyyah did not explicitly state hearing in al-Ṭabarānī's narration. If that is the case, then another benefit is that Imām Aḥmad narrated the ḥadīth from Baqiyyah explicitly stating hearing, so may Allāh reward him well for the ḥadīth and its people
